Free Public Seminars in Sterling, VA to Take the Mystery Out Of High-Tech Home Theater Systems

Sterling, VA (PRWEB) June 19, 2008 -- Free seminars aimed at giving consumers "a down-to-earth understanding of today's increasingly complex home-theater systems" are being offered to residents of the mid-Atlantic region by locally-based Balaton Marketing.

"Our two-hour seminars are designed to take the mysteries out of the high-tech world of digital sound and video processing," said Balaton President Steve Zaboji. "There are so many technological advances out there that even professionals in the (audio/video) business have a hard time keeping up with them."

Sessions will cover subjects ranging from the roles of the individual components of home-entertainment systems to how they come together for the viewing and listening experience. "All of this will be presented in a strictly non-selling environment," Zaboji stressed.

"We'll also have fun demonstrations," he added, "such as acoustically enveloping the room utilizing Yamaha's new flagship receiver, the 11.2-channel RX-Z11 driving 11 Monitor Audio Gold Series loudspeakers. At the other end of the product spectrum, Yamaha's magical Sound Projector, creating a realistic 5.1 home theater environment using five virtual loudspeakers, will surely prove to be a solution for individuals who do not want the complexity of installing five traditional loudspeakers."

The program, called "AV Seminar," will be launched on May 9 at Balaton's office in Sterling, VA. Consumers can sign up on the program's website, www.avseminar.com, on a first-come-first-served basis, with a maximum of 30 guests per session.

Zaboji expects to offer free seminars to the public twice monthly, but additional sessions can be scheduled for retail audio/visual dealers who have groups of customers desiring such education.

Sterling-based Balaton Marketing represents the manufacturers of a number of popular home-entertainment products. Zaboji said the mid-Atlantic program can be used as a template for similar programs by manufacturers' representatives in other regions across the U.S. "The AV Seminar website is designed to easily accommodate such additions," said Zaboji.
